Caohejing area is a new city center in Shanghai during the development of urbanization. The project of this 190,000 sq.m. area will be integrated with surrounding commercial area and office park to bring new energy through a strategy of formulating a long diagonal network. Especially the centre park in Caohejing area will be a cultural center for youngsters, which consisted of sunk square, sports clubhouse, and gardens in different themes for street performance, open-air concert and temporary art installation, etc. Compared to the diagonal centre park, buildings above the sunk square keeps the orthogonal network of urban texture to form a rotating shape, which makes Caohejing area be a creative, unique, and environmental -friendly city centre.
