To commemorate the traumatic earthquake in Central Taiwan and its post-quake recon[1]struction, the design drew inspiration from both the visible and invisible remains of the site: empty plateaus, retaining walls, hidden fault line, resilient trees. The project consists of three inter-dependent elements: the ground, the canopy, and the campus, from which the scheme develops into a series of commemorative performance spaces and a meaningful urban space. The project won the second prize in this international competition.
